Amit Harit

Amit Harit

Was he ever our teacher??

By his post - yes. He is the one who taught me the very basics of Programming Language. Whatever little programming I am able to do today, I can proudly say that it is because of him. He had been my teacher from my 6th standard to my 10th standard and took the Computers as a Subject in St. Mary's Convent School.

But I don't know. He rode bicycle with us on the way to school like friends & bought us Ice-Creams and other things like an elder Brother. He was strict when it comes to discipline and he was very soft and frank when we were in trouble, be it emotional or any other problem. I think that not only me, but my all the friends must have same feelings for him.

He is a person with a Golden Head and Heart.

One of the golden memory that I have with him goes like this: After my terrible accident in 10th standard, when I went to school, I was given the Project. That was my first project. I was accompanied by two classmates who were good for nothing. And instead of helping me out, both of them used to tell me that we are going late. I was so much stressed that one day I went to his house. It was nearly 9 pm in early January. He took me to his study room, and then helped me a lot in relaxing and then giving me a plan for preparing my project. I proudly wrote my first computer project and it worked smoothly.

Even now every Christmas, we meet at St. Mary's. Don't know where I will be coming December. But I know his wishes will always be with me.

Tyagi Sir taught me ERP and Cryptography. Both the fields are not closely related and do not give references to each other at any place. But he has got hold on both of them.

You have to sit carefully and attentively to actually understand what he is teaching and believe me, you can not get confused in the topics you heard attentively. He is not only the teacher for B.Tech. students but also an SAP Certified teacher. And that adds another feather to his cap. He tries his best to give whatever help to students what he can be it notes or numericals.

I just missed some golden chances to work with him, one due to my own irresponsible behavior and other by luck. It was the Analysis of an Industry in Western UP where we were supposed to go with him, but my exams spoiled the chance. Neverthless I really enjoyed his class.

You want to meet him, but couldn't find him.... arre go and find him in SAP Lab... He is there sitting and working on his computers.

While taking the Data Compression as an elective... there was a positive thing and one negetive thing.... Positive - You won't be studing at the last min of exams; Negetive - You have to attend lec.. :D

While I was preparing for GATE... I thought that how easily I went with Operating System in 6th Sem... but why it is difficult to recall it now (it was only a bit difficult)... Then I felt the difference... "Dubey sir". You feel like an engineer after being taught by him...

His each lec is highly informative & interactive... yup you have to study the last lec taught by him... he may ask anyone in class at any moment... so be prepared to stand in class and answer his questions....

And don't forget to attend all the test taken by him.... that cruises you through the semester exams smoothly...

He is good at deducting number.. can deduct even with spelling mistakes... And spend a lot time in checking answers. And any guess why?? Because he wishes each of his student to learn upto his fullest... He always try to give whatever knowledge he has... And wishes that each student should maintain it...

I recall that during me 6th Sem... I troubled him a lot.... I attended his 11th lec.. and was allowed only after a written permission.... and continued bunks even afterwards and got my numbers deducted...

But it was fun learning from him..... He taught me three subjects - Database Mgt System (4th Sem), Operating System (6th Sem) and Data Compression (7th Sem) and thus holds the record for being my techer for three semester.

Arun Sir had taught me 2 subjects. Object Oriented Systems and Intro to Web Tech.. In other words the complete Java. I prepared two projects (both live), one was Hospital ERP and other was Students Record Management under him and completed my one of the aims of my engg(to work on a live project). It was at that time only when I met ERP.

As a teacher he has been always good. I m not sure about others but I always got what he told in the class. I remember that in 5th sem all the topics asked in exams were covered by him in the class.

After I got my placement in Infosys, I called him... and went to his house to meet him.. He always keeps his heart open and his gate as well for the students to ask any queries at any time. Only you must have the courage to go to him...

He is very warm person and a very good human being....

The most feared Khan Sir taught us Data Structures in Third Sem and the most friendly Khan Sir taught us Distributed Systems in Eight Sem.

I have not seen any teacher who follows a method of teaching that is unbelievable. When he teaches, you can actually see floating Linked Lists and Queues in air. Its like watching a 3-D film, and your concepts are so clear that you confidently challenge anyone.

I still remember that he announced in the class that is there any student from IT Branch to whom I can say that he is my student. I don't know if he thinks same for me but I tried my best to actually become his student. This mystery is still unknown.

He is the person who always thought of good for his students and is sometimes strict for the same reason. He honours the post of Head of Department in IT Branch and I am cent percent confident that IMSEC's IT Branch is bound to achieve great heights. He has got the plans and the will to work them out. He has the strong head and a soft heart to achieve his aims.

My advice to my juniors is - if you have any problem - A GENUINE Problem - meet Khan Sir and he will be there with you. And if you try to fake your problems by cookup stories, he will catch you.

So actually be Beware of Khan Sir.... ok that was a Poor Joke.

He is one of the most dynamic person I have ever met in my lifetime. He is my mentor who taught me lot of things and my friend with whom I had shared lot of nice moments. He has a great positive aura in him.. You can actually feel the same while standing beside him and talking to him.

He is the person who took me on the path of ERP and showed me the world with a lot of exciting challenges and untapped opportunities.

He gave me one of his lectures to explain the basics of ERP to IT 3rd Year. Just before entering the class, I was having butterflies in my stomach. And then he told me a story of a great personality, that how he still gets butterflies in his stomach before his any performance, and said that you have butterflies only because you are prepared. He raised my confidence level so high that I still remember that lecture and how he always helped me during the whole lecture.

He is so friendly in his nature and so energetic even at such an age that any youth can feel ashamed. He is the person who has always given, be it knowledge or his love and care, and never asked anything in return.

At present he is in Indore his native place. I wish him a long and a healthy life.
